Dear Parents and Carers, We Are So Proud of Year 6This week, our Year 6 children completed their SATs tests and we could not be prouder of them. Throughout the week, the children showed incredible resilience, determination and maturity. They approached each day with such a positive attitude, supporting one another and giving every test their very best effort. We know how much hard work they have put in over the course of the year and it was wonderful to see them finish the week with such confidence and pride. To celebrate the end of SATs week, the children enjoyed a well-deserved trip to the park this afternoon, ending the week with a huge cheer and plenty of smiles. Well done, Year 6. You have been fantastic. A Fantastic Day at 360 PlayToday, our Aviary children enjoyed an exciting trip to 360 Play and had an absolutely wonderful time. The children spent the day exploring, climbing, playing and enjoying time together in a fun and active environment. There were huge smiles throughout the day and lots of excitement from beginning to end. It is safe to say that both the children and adults are thoroughly exhausted after such a busy day, but it was completely worth it for such a fantastic experience. Aviary Cake Sale and Non-Uniform DayA huge thank you to everybody who supported our Aviary cake sale and non-uniform day this week. We are currently raising money towards a brand new toilet area for our Aviary provision and we were overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our school community. Thank you to everybody who donated cakes, contributed money or came along to support the sale. We are delighted to share that we raised just under £400. Thank you again for your continued support. JewelleryFor health and safety reasons, children should only wear stud earrings in school; hoop earrings are not permitted. No jewellery should be worn during PE lessons. If your child wears earrings, they must be able to remove them independently before the lesson and put them back in afterwards. Religious jewellery may continue to be worn. Makaton Sign of the Week
This week’s Makaton signs are happy and sad. As part of our whole school focus on inclusive communication, we encourage you to ask your child to show you these signs at home and practise using them together in everyday conversations.
