Welcome to Early Years at Stoke Primary School
Welcome to Early Years at Stoke Primary School! The early years of a child’s education are the foundations of their learning journey, and we are proud to play a part in that journey. Our aim is to ensure that every child feels happy, safe and valued from the moment they join us, building the confidence and curiosity that will support them throughout their time in school.
Our Early Years provision supports children from the age of two through to the end of Reception. It includes The Meadow for our two-year-olds, Caterpillar class for our three-year-olds and our Reception classes, Dragonfly and Butterfly. Our aim across each stage is to provide a nurturing environment where children can explore, play and grow in confidence.
We believe that childhood should be full of curiosity, imagination and joy. In Early Years we celebrate every child as an individual and support them to develop socially, emotionally and academically. We want children to feel a strong sense of belonging within our school community while developing the confidence to share their ideas, take on new challenges and feel proud of their achievements.
Strong relationships with families are central to what we do. By working together, we can ensure that every child receives the best possible start to their education and develops a positive attitude towards learning. We want our children to believe that anything is possible and relationships with the wider community form an important part of this!
