Admissions to The Meadow

The Meadow provides places for children aged two to three years old. We currently offer 15 places for morning sessions and 15 places for afternoon sessions.

At present, we welcome children who are eligible for 15 hour or 30 hour funded childcare. As The Meadow is part of our main school site, sessions operate during school term time only. We do not currently offer paid top up hours, although this is reviewed regularly.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2026 to 2027 academic year.

Transition into The Meadow

Starting nursery is a very important milestone, and we believe that transition should always be handled with care and sensitivity.

Every transition begins with a home visit, giving our team the opportunity to meet your child in an environment where they feel safe and comfortable. This also allows families to begin building relationships with the adults who will be supporting their child.

Following the home visit, children are invited to attend a series of stay and play sessions in The Meadow. These sessions allow children to explore the environment, meet the team and begin to feel familiar with their new setting.

We take a child led approach to transition, working closely in partnership with parents to decide when a child is ready to begin attending their full funded sessions. For some children this happens quickly, while others benefit from a slower start.

In The Meadow, we understand that every child is unique. We are fully committed to offering bespoke transition journeys that ensure each child begins their nursery experience feeling confident, secure and ready to thrive.
